Building One Another  

Therefore encourage one another and build one another up, just as you are doing. I Thessalonians 5:11

We are Sent to Serve (to take a towel)!

Dear Friend,

Consider this remarkable word, “Jesus, knowing that the Father had given all things into his hands, and that he had come from God and was going back to God.” John 12:3*

Jesus could have thought of his power as a means of serving himself.  We easily think of our strengths as given for our own blessing.  

So, what did Jesus do, knowing all things were in his hand?  

He took a towel!

He practiced humility, using his strength in the service of others.

Consider what privileges God has given you –privilege(s) of education, income, location, family, heritage, location, beauty, health, wealth, talent, time or whatever – and take a towel.

God to Abram, “I will bless you… and all the peoples on earth will be blessed through you.” As the old Bethel Bible Series put it, “We are blessed to be a blessing," sent to serve.

Take a towel!
