Therefore encourage one another and build one another up, just as you are doing. I Thessalonians 5:11

Walk with Journey Partners!

Dear Friend –

Paul marvelously describes his friend Epaphroditus as, “my brother, my fellow worker, my fellow soldier!

What a marvelous combination! Just think of the people in your life you would call friends and fellow workers and fellow soldier!

To use the phrase of my journey partner friend, Dick Eagan, those people are “journey partners” in your life.

Journey partners share friendship in life, love, laughter and lament.

Journey Partners share endeavor and adversity, perhaps in the past, present or future.

Let your journey partners know how much you appreciate them!

Be a journey partner with Jesus!

In turn be a journey partner with the people God our Lord into your life!

1. How do you think these qualities grow in relationsihips with other people: friendship,, working together and facing adversity together?
2. Do you know people with whom you share just one or two of these three qualities?
3. When you think of those who share all three qualities as your "journey partners," in what ways will you communicate your appreciation of them?
4. Apply the same three qualities to your relationship with Jesus and mediate on the wonder of having Jesus as your ultimate journey partner!
