Therefore encourage one another and build one another up, just as you are doing. I Thessalonians 5:11

Touching Jesus – Touching People!

Dear Friend,

Why did the woman who bled twelve years and others who were ill touch Jesus? They trusted him!

To touch Jesus  is to trust Jesus.

Touching Jesus by trusting Jesus in every moment of every day connects us with the love and the life-changing power of the Lord who loves us!

Just as we know of those who sought to touch Jesus, we also know Jesus touched people.

He touched lepers, blind people and little children with light touches filled with the power and love of God!

Notice that when he raised the daughter of Jairus to life with the simple words, “Little girl, I say to you arise,” his touch was the touch of words, words of love, words of power.

When we touch people with a word of encouragement by text or call or a visit or a note, the Lord we love is touching them through us with his power.

Touch Jesus to know his love and touch others with his love!

1. Do you consciously touch - that is trust Jesus - consciously every day? One simple reminder is a post-it note by your bed to remind to touch Jesus by trusting him as you go to sleep!
2. Who are the people in your life - near and dear ones - and those you know in distant places - that you know touching is something our Lord would have you do?
3. What will you do to remind yourself to reach and touch a few such people every week?
