Building One Another  

Therefore encourage one another and build one another up, just as you are doing. I Thessalonians 5:11

On Giving Thanks

Dear Friend,                        

Consider these words from the famous Psalm103: “Bless the Lord, O my soul, and forget not all his benefits.” Ps. 103:2

Basic to the practice of giving thanks is the practice of remembering, of recalling God's many benefits in your life and in the lives of others.

This Thanksgiving, take the time to remember God's benefits to you. A great way to do this is by sharing your thanks during the Thanksgiving meal by using the letters P. E. T. – People, Events, and Things.

       Remember:

            The People God placed in your life to bless you and to build you.

             The Events in your life in which God has encouraged you.

             The Things in your life that God has given you to help you and delight you.

Especially remember God’s incredible love and affection for you – and give thanks.

“It is good to give thanks to the LORD, to sing praises to your name, O Most High.” Psalm 92:1

  The People God placed in your life to bless you and to build you.

  The Events in your life in which God has encouraged you.

  The Things in your life that God has given you to help you and delight you.

And GIVE THANKS TO THE LORD WHO LOVES YOU!
