Therefore encourage one another and build one another up, just as you are doing. I Thessalonians 5:11

Move from Greeting to Engaging!

Dear Friend,

You walk into a room of people – perhaps a party in a home or a church sanctuary or a school program.

Someone standing at the door greets you and immediately looks past you at other people who are coming. You feel  both welcomed and ignored!

Further into the room you pass someone else who also greets you and then looks past you? Again, you feel immediately welcomed and ignored!

Imagine bumping into a person who has the people eyes of Jesus, who welcomes you and stays alert to you as long as you stand there, showing real interest in you!

Be that person!

Whether you have a official greeting role at a door or are one of many in a room bumping into people – be the person who moves from greeting to engaging.

If it makes you nervous to do that, find a buddy in the room and engage people together with the people eyes of Jesus. They will feel welcome and you will find joy!
