Therefore encourage one another and build one another up, just as you are doing. I Thessalonians 5:11

Ministry Without Moving!

Dear Friend,

When you have “people eyes,” the eyes of Jesus for people, you may experience ministry without moving! Such ministry moments may happen as you simply sit in your home or in a coffee shop or on a front porch or in an office with the door open.

When a person walks by or turns toward you, a simple warm word can open the door to anything from simple friendship to deep encouragement.

Think of Jesus sitting by Jacob’s well when a woman came for water or the evening Nicodemus dropped in.

For Jesus these two people gave him the opportunity to offer ministry without moving! In those brief ministry moments, the lives of the woman and of Nicodemus were changed forever!

If you are in a location where people will walk by or if you can just go and sit there, be open to the possibilities for encouraging people that our Lord will bring to you!

A leper came to him, imploring him, and kneeling said to him, “If you will, you can make me clean.” Moved with pity, he stretched out his hand and touched him and said to him, “I will; be clean.” Mark 1:40-41

When people come to you, trust Jesus to touch them through you!

4. Will you trust our Lord to touch people through you?
