Churn Churn Churn to Turn Turn Turn!

Dear Friend,

Consider the meaning of churn, a vivid word that speaks of agitation and swirling confusion. Our lives constantly feel the churn, churn, churn of life’s demands.

When we feel the churn, what do we do? We turn! We turn and re-center ourselves on the Lord who loves us and on the loving people God gives us!

When Jesus says things like, “Let not your heart be troubled” or “In this world, you will have trouble” you know it’s because he wants to bring peace into the midst of our churn.

In the midst of churn, churn, churn simply turn, turn, turn Jesus, using the words of the song title by the Byrd’s based on the Book of Ecclesiastes, Turn! Turn! Turn!

Turn to your Lord and turn to the people refreshers in your life, the people whose kindness brings joy to your heart and puts steel in your back bone!

“For I have derived much joy and comfort from your love, my brother, because the hearts of the saints have been refreshed through you.” Philemon 7

2. Will you pivot in the middle of churn churn churn and turn turn turn to the Lord who loves you? How will you do it? How will you encourage other people to do it?
3. Who are the people-refreshers in your life - the people whose still centers, whose kindness stirs joy in you and puts steel in your backbone? Will you connect with them in the middle of your churn?
4. How will you be a people-refresher to the people in your life?
