Therefore encourage one another and build one another up, just as you are doing. I Thessalonians 5:11

Be a Spirit-Lifter!

Dear Friend,

“Times of refreshing” is such a wonderful word for us in the midst of lives that are often over-busy and very challenging.

The Apostle Paul spoke of such times of refreshing coming from the presence of the Lord. Acts 3:20

There are people in your life who are Spirit-Lifters?

Spirit-lifters lift your spirit and are conduits of such “times of refreshing” in your life.

Ask yourself, “Who are these Spirit-Lifters in my life?” Thank them, if you can! Consider how their words or actions have lifted your spirit.

Then in the spirit of “blessed to be a blessing,” consider how you will be a Spirit-Lifter in the lives of others.

A phone call? A knock on the door?  Help in a time of need? A text?

An email? A gift delivered by Amazon? A hand written note? A regular prayer for them?

As Job’s friend said to him, “Your words have put people on their feet!” May what you say and what you do put people on their feet! The Lord we love, loves to do that as the ultimate Spirit-Lifter:

“I waited patiently for the Lord;  he inclined to me and heard my cry. He drew me up from the pit of destruction, out of the miry bog, and set my feet upon a rock, making my steps secure. He put a new song in my mouth, a song of praise to our God.” Ps 40

2. Who are people in your life for whom you will be a Spirit-Lifter? What will you do? How will you do it?
3. When will you do it!
4. Be an agent of encouragement in the live of the people in your life - be a Spirit-Lifter!
